Rates and Fees

Monthly charges to HCWA customers for water and sewer services generally consist of: (1) a monthly base charge, calculated according to the size of a customer's standard residential or commercial water meter; plus, (2) a volume charge applied to the monthly water consumption. The water and sewer rates for all residential and business customers within the HCWA system are uniform, with charges to customers outside of Henry County multiplied by a factor of 1.5.

Volume Charges:   our water and sewer volumetric rates have a tiered structure to offer our customers a financial incentive for water conservation.  This is a regulatory requirement for all utilities operating within the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District. However, regardless of your monthly total consumption, we encourage all of our customers to check for household leaks periodically and to use water wisely, indoors and outdoors, at all times.  Tips on how to read your meter and detect leaks at your property are available in the subsequent pages of this website.

Note:  Connection fees are charged to those establishing a new connection (where no connection currently exists) to either the water or wastewater system.   These fees vary according to the water meter size.

Meter Tampering
